Fins Academy is a professional swimming school concept under license from Swim America and certified by the United States Swimming Schools Association.

Swim America, the world's leading learn-to-swim school, operates hundreds of professional learn to swim programs in the United States and around the world.

The SwimAmerica-FINS academy at Wadi Degla offers programs for members only that include an introductory swimming course concerning water safety, a full SwimAmerica Learn-to-Swim Program which ends in mastering the four strokes, a fitness program for juniors whose main sport is not swimming and a series of fitness classes carried out in the pool.

  • Members cannot register by phone
  • Registration is not automatically renewed each month. The member has to re-register each month
  • No money refunds
  • If member has paid for the month and does not attend classes, the money can be held for the following month if SwimAmerica office is notified before the start of the second lesson and child did not attend first lesson.
  • Due to a long waiting list, monthly fees are due within 24 hours of registration. If fees have not been paid at this time, your place will be given to someone else.

About Us


1. An American Learn-to-Swim Academy
2. Our main objective is to teach swimming skills/techniques
3. The program is divided into 10 levels
4. The trainee must learn all the required skills in order to pass a level
5. The technical team of the academy conducts a weekly assessment of the trainees
6. The program is divided into 10 levels
7. The program includes 12 training units at a rate of 3 per week

The program consists of two parts:


Pre-School

  • Between 3 to 5 years old
  • The duration of each session is 30 minutes long
  • Each coach has a maximum of 3 trainees in his group


Groups
  • Starting at 5 years old
  • The duration of each session varies between 40-50-60 minutes
  • Each coach has a maximum of 5 trainees in his group


8. Recommendations for specific coaches are permissable
9. If a trainee fails to attend a training session, he cannot retake it
10. Trainees get an approved certificate from SwimAmerica
11. From the 7th level, the trainee can begin to obtain the 3 stars of the Egyptian Swimming Federation
12. Dates of training sessions are coordinated with the academy's administration
13. A specific coach can be selected
14. A session can be cancelled 5 hours prior to its start
15. Cancellation can be sent in an SMS to the academy's administration
16. A cancelled session can be rescheduled in coordination with the academy's administration
17. Any contact must be with academy's administration, not with the coach
18. Training sessions must take place at least twice a week

Types of private classes:


Private
  • One trainee only
  • Trainee will pay a fee of 75 L.E. per session


Semi-Private 2
  • Two trainees only
  • Both trainees myst be on the same level
  • Each trainee will pay a fee of 55 L.E. per session
  • If one of the trainees fails to attend a session, fees will still be charged to both
  • Cancellation of a session will be for both trainees


Semi-Private 3
  • Three trainees only
  • All trainees must be on the same level
  • Each trainee will pay a fee of 45 L.E. per session
  • If one of the trainees fails to attend a session, fees will still be charged to all
  • Cancellation of a session will be for all trainees
